What is a personalized story, exactly?
It is a real children's picture book, written and illustrated to be read aloud, in which the hero carries your child's first name. The name comes back throughout the text and is printed on the cover. For some titles, their birth date and birthplace also find their way into the story. Finally, you choose from a gallery the character who looks most like them.
Each book tells a moment the child actually lives: the story of their birth, the bedtime ritual, the morning of their birthday, the news of a baby brother or sister, Christmas Eve, the noises that are scary in the dark. That is what sets it apart from a classic tale where only the name was swapped: the child recognizes themself because the story is about their life.
Personalized story or book with a photo?
These stories are already illustrated: you read the whole book right away, without sending anything, and it costs less. If you want the hero to have your child's real face, choose a personalized book from their photo instead: their photo becomes the illustrations, and you see the preview before paying.
