Personalized books for babies and toddlers

At one and two years old, a book is a ritual more than a story. The same few pages, the same voice, every night. These books are written for that: short sentences, one image per spread, and the child's own name in the text.

The books

  1. My First Christmas (ages 0 to 3): For your little one's very first Christmas: the star on the tree has gone missing. With Pompom the knitted penguin, a few tiny steps in the snow and a big warm hug, your child will find it.
  2. Welcome to the World (ages 0 to 3): On the day your baby arrives, all the little creatures of the garden and the forest come to say hello, each with a soft gift: a song, a color, a feather, a star. A book to give for a birth or a christening.
  3. My Bedtime Snuggles (ages 0 to 3): The book you read again every night: a bubble bath, the pajamas, then a gentle dream trip to say goodnight to the cat, the fish, the moon and the stars. Right up to bedtime, with a cuddly bunny in arms.
  4. Bye-Bye Diapers (ages 0 to 3): The diaper is off on a trip! With Barnaby the baby elephant and Lilypad the frog, your child discovers the little yellow potty, and every small step becomes a big victory.
  5. My First Birthday (ages 0 to 3): For your little one's first birthday: a talking red balloon takes your child to a land of cotton candy and bubbles to find the very first candle, first on all fours, then on first steps.
  6. Big brother, big sister (ages 0 to 6): The baby's arrival, seen by the oldest: jealousy becomes pride.
  7. My lovey and me (ages 0 to 6): Their lovey becomes a co-hero. Yes, even if it only has one ear left.
  8. A whole life (ages 0 to 3 and adults): Baby, child, adult... the same person grows page after page. Add their photos at several ages.
  9. My pet, my hero (ages 0 and up): The dog, the cat (or the goldfish) sets off on an adventure with your child.
  10. Welcome to the world (ages 0 to 3): The baby's very first book: the day they arrived, the people who were waiting, and the place that was already theirs.
  11. Bye-bye diapers (ages 0 to 6): The story that makes potty training exciting: the hero, their mission, and the victory they'll talk about for weeks.
  12. The Day You Arrived (ages 0-3): On the day of the birth, every animal in the world came to bring a gift.
  13. Good Night (ages 0-3): Before sleep, there is one thing left to do: say good night to everything that is going to sleep.
  14. How Far I Love You (ages 0-3): A question we ask ourselves every day, and an answer that grows all day long.

What makes a good book for a one or two year old

A toddler wants the page to match the sentence, wants to point at things, and wants it again. So the text stays short and the picture does the rest. When their own name is in the text, they notice it, and they start to fill in the words they know.

Choose a hardcover if the book will be handled a lot. It takes a bit more patience to turn pages than a board book, but an 8 x 8 in hardcover holds up to a daily routine.

Their name, or their face

There are two ways to personalize. In our illustrated stories the child's name is in the text and on the cover, and you choose the ready-drawn character who looks most like them. In the books from their photo, their real face is drawn into every page. For the youngest, the face book is My First Christmas, written for a first Christmas.

Read it before you decide

The stories appear in full on screen with the child's name inside, free, in a few seconds. Softcover $39.99, hardcover $44.99, large hardcover $49.99. Shipping included. Books from a photo start at $44.99 printed, after a free preview.

Frequently asked questions

What age are these books for?
From birth to about age 3. They are written to be read aloud, so a newborn can have one too, long before they understand the words.
Is a personalized book too much for a baby?
No. The first years are when a family builds its reading routine. A book with the baby's name is simply the one that ends up being asked for most.
Will my toddler see their own face?
In the illustrated stories the hero is a ready-drawn character that you choose to look like them. In the books from a photo, such as My First Christmas, their real face is drawn on every page.
Which format is best for a toddler?
The 8 x 8 in hardcover is the sturdiest for daily handling. The softcover is lighter for a travel bag.
How long does delivery take?
About 8 to 12 business days on average within the USA, shipping included. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed date.
